When those memories drag me in
I give up trying, numb within
I see the disappointment in your eyes
All that I could do was wait for you to tell me
What I had to do to make it right
I never meant to hurt you
Searching for a trace of empathy
I can’t face the fear I’ll never feel your comfort
Acknowledgment, support, or sympathy
I’m such a disappointment
So I’ll run to the place it doesn’t hurt
I’ll find a way to bury all the voices saying
You’ll never prove, you’ll never prove you’re worth
The love that you expected
I’d hide in here forever if I could
Each time it takes a little more to fend the fear
I feel alone, I feel misunderstood
Tell me when it’s over
I cannot face myself
Can I escape me?
I can’t erase this weight
Can I escape?
The room was quiet
Their voices silent
My heart was pounding
I can’t imagine
How I let this happen
Mother
Can I be the mother that he needs?
Can I crawl back up? Oh help me please
Can I feel and give and love and stay?
I’m afraid this fear won’t fall away
The fear is rising
How long can I fend it off?
How long can I hold on?
I’m scared I’ll let him down
This room is quiet
My voice is silent
My heart is pounding
This room is quiet
My voice is silent
My heart is pounding
I cannot face myself
Can I escape me?
I can’t erase this weight
Can I escape?
Whilst delivering well crafted music, unless you focus on the lyrics, you could miss the story lines. This is the last of the war trilogy, so subtle ,but so poignant. Superb music with broken road and Holding On ,on permanent repeat. Listen and become enthralled. Top quality song writing and musicianship.10/10

As with previous releases this is a solid album from start to finish which continues the storyline, themes and signatures perfectly.
'Enigma' and 'Another Same' are on par with or superior to many commercial offerings by established prog artists.
The Waters, Wilson and Hayward influences shine through once more but I also hear song writing very much in the style of Difford and Tilbrook, 'Trough of War' & 'Another Same' probably being the best examples.
These chaps are the real deal!
